Let’s go outside and hike! The first Thursday of every month we will be offering a guided hike in Humbug Marsh!
Come join the ranger from 2pm-3pm and enjoy some seasonal learning through out the year.
Join us for our 11th Annual Holiday Craft Market at the Westfield Center in Trenton! You will find over 50 amazing local crafters selling all sorts of wonderfully crafted items and more!
Entry is $3 per person at the door, kids free. A portion of the proceeds is used to purchase toys for children.

Learn about the habits and habitats of the extraordinary owl during this unique evening program. Begin with a short presentation to discuss some interesting facts about owls, before heading out on the trails to see if we can call in an Eastern Screech Owl or two.

*Participants will receive a 2025 Lightfest hat, Lightfest 2025 medal, transportation back to the start line after the event and post event snacks
The start line is at Merriman Hollow Park in Westland (7651 N. Merriman Road in Westland) and the finish line is at Warrendale Park near the Hype Recreation Center (23302 W. Warren Avenue in Dearborn Heights). Hines Drive will be closed for vehicle traffic for the event.
Please park at the start area and shuttle busses will transport you back to Merriman Hollow after the event.

The Wayne County Lightfest is a magical five-mile stretch of Hines Park, displaying nearly 50 animated themed displays and more than 100,000 lights.
The Lightfest will be open Wednesday – Sunday from Thursday, November 20, 2025 until Sunday, December 24, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. The Lightfest will be closed Monday and Tuesday evenings. There will be two bonus days the LightFest will be open on Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23!
