Nov20Fri2026 Annual Tree Lighting – Friday, November 20. 2026 at dusk
Held at the intersection of Sycamore and Biddle Avenue, the Tree Lighting features festive decorations, live reindeer, a children’s entertainer with balloon creations, and jingle bells for everyone to ring along with the choir. The Mayor, City Council members, and honored guests will invite a group of children on stage to flip the switch, illuminating the grand Christmas tree.
Nov21Sat2026 The parade travels along Biddle Avenue. Bring your family, grab a good spot on the route, and enjoy the community spirit all morning long.
Bundle up, bring your family and friends, and enjoy a morning filled with holiday cheer in the heart of downtown Wyandotte.

Dec2Wed2026 Join us at Joe’s Hamburgers for our annual Run the Lights of Wyandotte. We’ll be running through downtown and neighborhood streets while the Christmas lights are up, making this one of our favorite runs of the year.
There will be two distance options: 4 miles or 7 miles, allowing runners to choose what best fits their goals.
Please note that winter weather can be unpredictable, so be sure to dress warm and appropriately for the conditions.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES:
– Headlamps are necessary.
– While much of the route is lit by street lights and holiday lights, there are several darker sections.
– Illuminated running vests are strongly recommended for visibility on all winter runs.
– After the run, we’ll head back to Joe’s Hamburgers for dinner and drinks.
Don’t miss this festive winter run—great lights, great miles, and great food to finish it off.
