The Downriver Delta’s Annual Roll Along the River is a fun and leisurely bicycle ride through Downriver communities along the Detroit River – featuring beautiful parks, trails, neighborhoods, green spaces, and waterfront views of the Detroit River.
Approximately 23 miles through Wyandotte, Riverview, Grosse Ile, and Trenton, and will take approximately 3 hours.
START: River’s Edge Gallery, 3024 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte, DEPART: 10:00 AM
10:05 AM: Take Biddle Ave. south to Grosse Ile Toll Bridge > Meridian Bike Path > Horse mill Bike Path > East River Rd. Leg 1: 7 miles ~45min
Stop 1) St. James Episcopal Church, 25150 E River Rd, Grosse Ile , ARRIVE: 10:50 AM
11:05 AM: Take East River Rd. to Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge – Gibraltar Bay Unit, Grosse Ile > back north to Groh Rd. > West River Rd. > Grosse Ile Parkway Free Bridge > W. Jefferson Ave. south. Leg 2: 7.5 miles ~50min
Stop 2) Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, 5437 W. Jefferson Ave., Trenton, ARRIVE: 11:55 AM
12:10 PM: Take W. Jefferson Ave. north > loop around Elizabeth Park > continue on W. Jefferson Ave. north. Leg 3: 8 .5 miles ~60min
END: River’s Edge Gallery, ARRIVE: 1:15 PM
The Fishing Derby is a wonderful event that brings families and the community together to enjoy a day of fishing and fun. This popular event typically draws over 200 participants for the derby, ranging from 5-13 years of age. Prizes and trophies are awarded for several categories.

As you race through the vibrant atmosphere of Downtown, soak in the cheers of onlookers and the patriotic ambiance. The excitement peaks as you cross the finish line, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Detroit River.
But the festivities don’t end there! After completing the Firecracker 5k, you’re invited to extend your celebration by staying to watch the City of Wyandotte Independence Day parade. Immerse yourself in the lively procession of floats, marching bands, and community pride, turning your race day into a full-fledged Fourth of July extravaganza. Join us for an unforgettable day of running, community camaraderie, and patriotic spirit in the heart of Wyandotte.
