Little Tens Invitational Open 5k

Hosted by the University of Michigan Club Running Team, MRun, this Open Cross Country 5k will be the first race to kick off the day and will be followed by both a male and female race for other collegiate club runners. The 5k course is primarily flat terrain with the exception of one hill that is run twice. It is grassy and a great opportunity for a PR! All ages are invited to race and prizes will be awarded to our top 3 male and female runners. We hope to bring the local community of runners together for an exciting day of cross country racing.

Registration is now open for the 2021 Blue Ribbon Run. The date is September 26th. If you are unable to participate please consider donating. All proceeds of this event go to the Trenton Exchange Club and will be used to support prevention of child abuse.
5K – 9:30am start time. This years run will include the hill (2 times). Hill is OPTIONAL! No dogs or strollers on the hill. Awards to 1st and 2nd Male and Female, Overall and Masters & Finisher Medals. Age groups: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and up.
Any social distancing guidelines in effect on race day will be strictly adhered to, including staggered starts if necessary. Chip timing will be used for results.
1 Mile- 9:00am start time. No hill on the 1 mile course. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome for the 1 mile race.
Teddy Bear Tot Trot- 9:15am start time. FREE 6 years & under. Finisher gift

This race is run in an actual working quarry. The course is graded, but please be aware you will be running on areas that are uneven, or even sandy.
We will be following the COVID-19 regulations that are in place at the time of the race. Parking is off site & you will be bussed to the Quarry. As of now, masks WILL be required while on the bus or inside the registration/package pick up building.

Growler Gallop Atwater 10 Mile & 5K
At Atwater Brewery in Downtown Detroit!
Now in its 8th year, the Grower Gallop 10 mile and 5K is an amazing celebration of running and walking! The Growler Gallop is a 10 mile and 5K race starting and finish at the Famous Atwater Brewery in Downtown Detroit! The 10 mile course will take you along the riverwalk and around Bell Isle, while the 5K will use the riverwalk and loop back around just before the bridge to Belle Isle. We will have great live music, medals, food, and beer for all participants. The best part is that we have the most coveted awards around, Growlers of Atwater Beer! Participants have a chance to win our cash prizes and kegs!
Registration includes: Growler Gallop hoodie, one beer ticket for Atwater Craft Beer, post race food, race day photos, awards, and more!

Run the D with DPD and DMC is a race put on in conjunction with the Detroit Police Department, Detroit Public Safety Foundation (DPSF) and the Detroit Medical Center. The goal is to promote healthy living while raising money and awareness for the DPD Fit wellness initiative and the DPSF.
As organizations committed to supporting physical and mental health, the Run the D Race is the perfect opportunity to engage the community in our mission.
This race will include a warm-up and stretching session with trainers from the DMC. The Detroit Police Department’s Training Center will be participating in the run with cadets in the Police Academy. The cadets will be doing cadences/chants to keep everyone inspired as they run.
The 3-mile course starts in beautiful Brush Mall and takes you through portions of downtown Detroit, ending again at Brush Mall.
The DMC is providing free parking in one of their on-site parking structures. Included with the registration fee, runners will receive an official race t-shirt, medal and drinks/snacks after the race. Virtual runners will receive their t-shirt and medal.
Early registration is $35 and will be available until July 31, 2021.
Registration cost is $40 after August 1, 2021. Registration is available until the day of the event but there is no guarantee of t-shirts for registrations processed after September 21st. The deadline for virtual runners to register is October 1st.
Race registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on October 9th and the race will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Every dollar you raise through the Out of the Darkness Walks allows AFSP to invest in life-saving research, education, advocacy, and support for those impacted by suicide. On-site registration at our Health & Fitness Expo will be available on FRIDAY ONLY for late registrants.
Our 5K starts near the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center and William G. Milliken State Park and Harbor, along the Detroit RiverWalk.
Our 5K course will take participants along the Detroit Riverwalk, past Milliken State Park/Harbor, past Chene Park and through the historic Rivertown Warehouse District before finishing in front of the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center. View the course here, or click here to view all the course maps.
There will be two waves: runners and walkers. Walkers will line up behind the runners and will start 5 minutes after the first wave of runners. This is for the safety and happiness of all participants!
Runners and walkers of any age and/or ability are welcome to participate in the celebration of fun and fitness. Because of safety concerns strollers, bicycles, roller-blades and skateboards are not permitted in any of our events, including the 5K.
Gear Check will be available for 5K Runners starting at 7:30am. It will be located under the pavilion in William G. Milliken State Park (closest to the water).
There are two opportunities to pick up your race day packet, which includes your t-shirt and bib number. You may have someone else pick up your packet, but they must have a copy of your confirmation email and ID.
Friday, October 15: Health & Fitness Expo at TCF Center (formerly COBO Center), from 2:00 – 8:00pm
Saturday, October 16: (Race Day): Milliken State Park, before the race. You may NOT pick up your packet at the Expo on Saturday.
Time Requirements and Age Restrictions
There are no age-restrictions for this event. All participants are required to finish the 5K in one hour and ten minutes (1:10:00).
All individual cash prizes are based on “clock time” (not chip time).
