The Fishing Derby is a wonderful event that brings families and the community together to enjoy a day of fishing and fun. This popular event typically draws over 200 participants for the derby, ranging from 5-13 years of age. Prizes and trophies are awarded for several categories.

Fishing Fun Day at the Refuge! @ Pier at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge

Enjoy a fun day of FREE, interactive activities, giveaways, and fishing off the pier at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.

All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate! Bait and a limited number of fishing poles will be available, but it is recommended that you bring your own. Pre-registration is not required for this free event but strongly encouraged.
