The holidays are filled with traditions, symbols, and seasonal magic — but have you ever stopped to wonder about the nature behind them? What’s the science of snowflakes? Where does mistletoe really come from? Why do candles and flames play such an important role this time of year? And yes — how is a reindeer like a guitar?

Join us for a classroom-based program that takes a deeper dive into the natural history woven into the holiday season. You may never look at a snowflake — or the holidays — quite the same way again. This program is best suited for ages 12 and up and anyone with a curiosity for nature, science, and seasonal traditions.

Ages: 8 and up.
Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult: Register
Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
