Each year, hundreds of vehicles from the 1890s through 1932 arrive from across the country to be perfectly set in the place where American history is brought to life. Old Car Festival in Greenfield Village is a raucous ride that epitomizes the earnest optimism of the American Dream from the turn of the century to the Great Depression.
Wander through the village to meet the owners who’ve passionately preserved these treasured machines. Watch drivers engage in games of skill, listen to the distinctive sounds of century-old vehicles or sit back and enjoy expert insights while drivers motor through the Pass-in-Review parade. It’s an automobile lover’s dream, as electric-, steam- and gas-powered engines are constantly in motion around you.
Old Car Festival brings ragtime America and the Jazz Age to life with two days of historically inspired street food, music, dancing and activities in the center of Greenfield Village. Stay late Saturday evening for the Gaslight Parade of Cars, dancing with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue, a Dixieland-style parade and our fireworks finale.
Don’t miss your chance to spend this special weekend immersed in the moving stories of the early automotive era at America’s longest-running antique car show.
Please Note: The Henry Ford continues to build back from the pandemic and grow its workforce. Due to limited staffing and increased attendance during special event weekends, member reservations will be required at Old Car Festival and are now available. If maximum capacity is reached inside the venue, members without reservations and guests without pre-purchased tickets may not be permitted to enter. We apologize for these inconveniences and we thank you for your patience, flexibility and support at this time.
NEW in 2021: Women at the Wheel
Join us this year at Old Car Festival to honor the 101st anniversary of the adoption of the 19th Amendment, a hard-won victory securing the right to vote for American women. Many women have owned and driven cars from the earliest days of the automotive era. Explore their stories to find out how cars, with their freedom of mobility, supported women in making inroads in the workplace, in civic engagement and in American life.
