Islandfest is a time to celebrate the beginning of summer and enjoy some small-town fun. The week-end long event features arts & crafts, a fine arts show, children’s activities, a midway, live music, parade, car show, fireworks, historical tours, aircraft displays and rides, a variety of foods and beverages for all ages, plus monster truck rides and so much more. Islandfest is a free, fun, family-oriented event where all are welcome. Come join the fun!

Southgate’s 48th Annual Heritage Days Festival. Beginning Friday June 14th with Country Western Night!
Hear live music from the Cody Boggs band and Family Tradition. Enter to win 100+ pounds of meat in our meat raffle. Enjoy some BBQ prepared by Crystal Gardens. Ride some carnival rides from Elliot’s Amusements.
Return Saturday June 15th for the Heritage Days parade at 11am. The 2nd annual Heritage Car Show hosted by Downriver Community Federal Credit Union will begin at 12pm and run until 4pm.
New this year is a business expo held during the car show! Taste of the Town will return to Market Center park from 12pm-2pm. Live music in the park will run from 12pm-11pm.
The carnival will run all day! Find fun street performers in Market Center Park throughout the day.
Look for Flame Throwers, Face Painting, Mascots and more!

Free Summer Concert – June 18th through August 27th (No concert on July 2nd due to the holiday).
We will have food trucks and artisan vendors in the park from 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm. The band will begin playing at 6:00 pm. Crystal Gardens will be operating a full bar! Picnic tables available. Bringing your own lawn chairs is encouraged.
