Wayne County Parks and Trenton Parks and Recreation are thrilled to bring back the Marshmallow Drop!
Thousands of marshmallows will be dropped from a helicopter to be turned in for a prize.
The event is not competitive and only one marshmallow is needed for a prize. There will be three separate age groups for children:
4 and younger
5 – 7 years old
8 and older
Join us at the Heritage Park Petting Farm for a fun egg hunt and visit with the Spring Bunny! There will be ten eggs available for each child.

This event is best suited for kids ages 2 – 8 years old, but all are welcome.
Join us for a special screening of the powerful documentary film, “Black Ice” Even without the ice here in Michigan, we can watch and follow a crew of aspiring ice climbers of color from Memphis all the way out to Montana.
Featuring Manoah Ainuu, Conrad Anker, and Fred Campbell, the film shares stories of young people getting outside and getting inspired.
Bring your own snacks, a comfy blanket, and come on out to the refuge for this super special watch!

Click on the picture for details…. This is a ticketed 21+ event. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through the Southgate Parks and Recreation office. A limited number of tickets will be sold.
– Every egg will have candy but some will also contain tickets to win excellent prizes donated by local businesses! Some eggs will even have mini shots.
– Come hungry! Fun Food Express will be serving up dinner.
– The golf course bar will be open. DJ Sam will be playing everyone’s favorite tunes. You don’t want to miss this fun night out!

The Downtown Allen Park Farmers Market delivers farm fresh produce every Friday, April through October. Stroll through stalls of seasonal fruits and vegetables and talk with the farmers who picked the produce that very morning.
